With over two decades of experience in clinical operations spanning various specialties such as primary care, anesthesia, and radiology, Krista Christensen is an accomplished executive leader who thrives in dynamic and innovative environments. Throughout Krista's career, she has excelled in building and nurturing highly functional cross-functional teams, driving market growth, and fostering cultures built on trust and common values. Her expertise encompasses strategic leadership, financial analysis, market research, and organizational assessment to develop and implement innovative healthcare programs and services successfully.
One of her most notable achievements includes leading system-wide events, such as opening 60+ operating rooms across 12 different sites in just 8 weeks post-COVID, earning recognition with the MultiCare system president's award for stewardship.
During her tenure as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations at Ready Health, she spearheaded initiatives to develop new clinical models supporting care in the home, resulting in reduced emergency visits and inpatient lengths of stay. She also successfully integrated clinical operations teams following a merger and acquisition, laying the groundwork for scalable and effective care models.
At MultiCare Health System, as Vice President of Access and Care Transformation, she implemented system-wide practice optimizations and patient-centered access strategies, resulting in improved market share and reduced barriers to care. Krista also led the COVID vaccine strategy, from setting up mobile clinics to incorporating vaccine administration into existing clinics.
Krista's prior roles include serving as an Administrator for Orthopedics and Neuroscience Service lines, where she oversaw strategic planning, patient experience, budgeting, and quality assurance across multiple sites. Additionally, she has held positions as Administrative Director of Ambulatory Services and Director of Anesthesia Services, where she drove operational excellence, financial management, and quality improvement initiatives.
Krista holds a Bachelor of Science from Boise State University and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix. She is certified as a Professional Coder, Radiology Administrator, and Lean Leader.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she is actively engaged in various professional organizations and has delivered numerous speaking engagements on topics ranging from patient satisfaction to creating Centers of Excellence in healthcare.
